Our Team

As a Summer Associate at the Rennie Center, Rafa is supporting the planning and execution of the inaugural Literacy Launch Institutes, a series of summer institutes for educators and administrators designed to accelerate early literacy outcomes across the Commonwealth. Prior to joining the Rennie Center, Rafa spent five years teaching in a range of educational settings, including public, private, and international schools. He also brings experience in bilingual education and previously led a classroom of recently immigrated students, supporting their academic growth and transition to life in the U.S. Across all contexts, Rafa has been deeply committed to advancing educational equity and improving student outcomes. He holds a B.A. in International Relations and Spanish from Tufts University, where he also facilitated health education workshops for Boston ninth graders through Peer Health Exchange.
