Naina joined the Rennie Center this winter with experience in advocacy work, policy research, and education consulting. Her passion for education reform began in high school, when she had to navigate the different educational opportunities available to her in her home state of Arizona. Through her experiences working with organizations such as She's the First and DREAM, Naina has further developed her interest in educational equity and public education.
Prior to joining the Rennie Center, Naina worked on a project to evaluate Vermont's proficiency-based learning standards in preparation to testify before the Vermont House Committee on Education. During this time, she and two undergraduate peers identified the challenges of implementing such standards, analyzed student outcomes, interviewed high school principals and college admissions officers, and provided suggestions for a successful transition to proficiency-based learning.
Currently a junior at Dartmouth College, Naina is majoring in Government and English. She hopes to pursue a career in consulting after graduation.
