Elevating Student Voice through SEL

Zoom

Returning to school after a year of isolation, inconsistency, and—in many cases—trauma, has been challenging for so many young people across the Commonwealth. Addressing the social and emotional needs of students has never been more important. But how can schools and educators, who are already stretched so thin, support the holistic needs of students?

On November 16, we hosted a webinar to help practitioners learn some strategies to weave social-emotional learning into every classroom and every lesson. We walked through our resource-filled action guide, which is based on lessons learned from our years working with a network of districts implementing SEL in schools. The webinar also featured experts discussing recommendations for fostering student voice through SEL and why supporting student agency is critical during this difficult time.
