MCAS mock legislative hearing

On Thursday, December 12, the Center for Education Research & policy at MassINC and FleetBoston Financial will sponsor a mock legislative hearing entitled, "MCAS Court Challenge: Policy Implications." The hearing will be held from 8 to 9:30 AM in the Fleet Auditorium, 100 Federal St. Boston.
The mock hearing is designed to articulate and clarify policy implications of the legal arguments being put forth; and discuss the pros and cons of these policy implications. The non-partisan and policy-focused session will aim to stimulate reflection and thoughtful discussion of what many perceive to be today's most important education reform issue.
The "advocates" will be Pedro Noguera, professor at Harvard University Graduate School of Education, for the plaintiffs; and Henry C. Dinger, partner at Goodwin Proctor for the Commonwealth.
