Public Hearing on Dropout Legislation

On September 27th, the State Legislature’s Joint Committee on Education will hear testimony on the dropout prevention & recovery bills filed this session. At the hearing, Rennie Center Vice President of Research and Evaluation, Dr. Lisa Famularo will present relevant findings from the Rennie Center’s body of research on dropout prevention and recovery. Dr. Famularo’s testimony will feature findings from policy briefs on compulsory age, school discipline, and promising practices for dropout prevention published in March 2011 and February 2009.
